Card dispute (chargeback) letter generator

Dispute a card charge in writing: not received, not as described, refund not given, charged twice or not yours. You get a letter to your card issuer, an evidence checklist and a timeline of what to do when.

Nothing you type leaves your browser. This tool runs on your device: no account, no upload, no cookies, no saved text. Close the page and it is gone.

This is a draft, not legal advice. Check the rules where you are.

We pick a starting country from your browser language. Change it if it is wrong. Nothing is looked up online.

Never enter the full card number.

This changes which rules the letter mentions.

In the US, the Fair Credit Billing Act covers credit card billing errors with a 60-day written-notice window. In the UK, Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 covers some credit card purchases from £100 to £30,000, and chargeback is a separate card-scheme process. Elsewhere, contact your card issuer promptly; time limits apply.
